Tamannaah Bhatia will reprise the position of Kangana Ranaut in the Telugu official remake of Queen which is titled That is Mahalakshmi. Directed by Neelakanta and Prashanth Varma, the movie is gearing up for launch in summer season. And while taking pictures for the movie in Paris, the place the plot is set majorly, BollywoodLife caught up with Tamannaah Bhatia and we requested her few questions about the remake, her profession in varied industries and far more. Speaking about the story, Tamannaah says that the story of Queen is common, and it is simply not women-centric. “I think we are in a time in age where, more than being just a big film, it’s about content. Everybody wants to watch a well-made, good and entertaining film. More than ever, today, there are so many ways of entertaining yourselves. Being in movies, we have to constantly churn out something exciting, meaningful and new. And Queen is just that. I don’t think this story is just women-centric and everyone can relate to it,” Tamannaah advised BollywoodLife in this unique interview.
Speaking about her strategy in the direction of remakes, Tamannaah says that she looksto convey a new dimension to the already profitable topic however not deviating from the unique essence. “There’s a Rani in everyone of us and the degree varies. I felt that I just had to find that Rani in me and bring her out, and I hope that gets communicated,” provides Tamannaah.
