Surbhi Jyoti opens up about replacing Mouni Roy in Naagin 3 – read exclusive interview | Wireler

Surbhi Jyoti impressed every body together with her debut present Qubool Hai. She proved that she was a flexible actress when she adopted it up with Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai that had her as a nervous lovestruck Geetanjali, who’s on a quest to unravel a thriller. Now, she is again with Naagin 3. The present is essentially the most prestigious one on Indian Television, being the TRP topper for 2 consecutive seasons. In an EXCLUSIVE chat with Bollywood Life, Surbhi mentioned, “I think the hardest part of doing the show was to convince myself about it. I have played realistic roles so far. Now, who does not want to work with Balaji Productions or Colors. They are the No.1 channel and production house. Surbhi confesses that she was initially cautious of the comparisons between her and the now iconic, Naagin Shivaanya performed by the gorgeous Mouni Roy. “Yes, I was really confused because of the comparison and concept thing but then I realised whatever it is, it’s the numero uno show on Indian TV. And if I am being offered this show, I should take it as a compliment that people feel I can fit the part and it’s another feather in my cap,” she states. She additional says that the comparisons don’t hassle her as Naagin is a large model in itself. “People are madly and absolutely in love with the serpents and Naagins. I can give my hundred per cent and the rest depends on the others. I feel that if I do my work honestly leaving no room for complaints, I can be assured for success,” she asserts. When we requested Surbhi that individuals in city India are inclined to look down upon Indian fantasy exhibits like Naagin whereas going gaga over Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, she acknowledged, “Hollywood movies have huge budgets. They are much stronger on the technical side. We cannot run away from that reality. We have the plus point of having an audience that loves fantasy. We have grown up seeing movies on serpents and fairy tales. We cannot compare but can work towards own betterment.”
