He tells BollywoodLife, “I enjoyed the part from the first time. We don’t need any convincing to do the sequels from anyone. We get excited every time we’re told that the next one is on the cards. See, no producer will make a sequel if the previous films do not do well. The excitement levels are always high with Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Happy Bhag Jayegi and Tanu Weds Manu. I love SBG because of the dialogues. There is a new gangster in this one. We hope the film gets the audience’s love so we can make the fourth part.” The actor reveals that the story takes off from the place the second story ended. Raja has gone to jail and Mahie aka Madhavi Devi has turn out to be all highly effective. They have labored within the Munnabhai sequence and Eklavya. “People are asking me if I would like to be part of the third film in the Munnabhai series. Of course, I would love to. It is always a pleasure working with Sanju baba and Rajkumar Hirani. We talk in Punjabi. We reminisced about Zaheer (Jimmy’s character in Munnabhai MBBS) and Raju Sir,” he says.

Over the years, Jimmy’s fan following has grown by leaps and bounds. There are many who really feel the actor doesn’t get seen as a lot as he deserves to. “I take that as a great compliment. I feel it is a big thing to say about any actor. At least no one is saying that he does not deserve what he gets. I am thankful to people who find me deserving of more bigger films and better films. It is very sweet of them to say so. I take it as a compliment,” he gushes. “I am happy I am part of films that get made in sequels. I consider myself lucky enough. I did Mukkabaaz with Anurag Kashyap and totally enjoyed it. I heard he’s planning to make the third part of Gangs of Wasseypur. I plan to call him and tell that I did love to be a part of that world,” he says. Unlike many others, Jimmy is sort of vocal concerning the filmmakers he needs to work with. He doesn’t draw back from calling them up and saying he did like to work with them. “See, now Anurag is a friend. I am quite point blank about it. I talk about it in all my interviews. I have been wanting to work with Neeraj Pandey. I don’t know why it is not happening. We did A Wednesday and Special 26 together. I feel Special 26 deserves a sequel. I am quite vocal about all this, especially with friends. I know these people from a long time. I want to do a film with Aanand L Rai soon,” he says.

The undeniable fact that Jimmy has been friend-zoned by all the feminine characters in his movies has been the subject of memes. It went viral. “C’mon I’m sure there are many other actors who do not get the girl. That was a joke started by Colour Yellow (Aanand L Rai’s production house) for Happy Bhag Jayegi and it will end with them only (laughs out loud). I have had heroines. There is nothing wrong in being friend-zoned,” he says.

Last yr, there was this raging debate about nepotism within the trade. Jimmy who has a teenage son, Veer opines, “I am from the industry. I got wherever I am because of Bollywood. I feel it is my duty to launch my son in the best of my capacity. The rest depends on the audience to accept or reject him. Post his debut, he will have to figure it out for himself. People were kind enough to place me somewhere in the industry. All that I can give is a nice launch. As of now, he is too much into sports. Veer is enjoying the phase of being a student, playing sports, etc. Let him enjoy that. After a few years, we will sit down and ask him what he wants to do. If he says he wants to act, we will see. His education is our priority now.”

The actor who is doing properly in each Hindi and Punjabi movies offers a lot of credit score to his administrators when you compliment him for his impeccable nuances in all his movies. “Thank you, I principally sit down with my director to debate a half earlier than the venture goes on flooring. When we have been prepping for the primary Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster movie, Tigmanshu informed me that he wants me to develop a correct tevar wala moustache. It is a tedious job however I did it. Then, we got here to the garments. He additionally informed me to behave like royalty and I labored on my physique language. Now, I am so well-versed that in the event that they inform me that the fourth movie will begin quickly, I will solely take time to develop my moustache. For Mukkabaaz, Anurag informed me to achieve some weight. I began gorging from 25 days previous to the shoot to achieve no matter little I may. Then, he wished the cat eyes. Suddenly, we selected a look that had one eye with a contact and different with a lens. He wished redness so he did name me to shoot early within the morning. My parts can be wrapped by 9 or 10 am. It was deliberate properly. Such improvements improve a character a lot.”

Jimmy is a huge star in Punjab. Given the pattern of Bollywood selecting up tales from regional cinema, are there any of his movies which are Bollywood materials? “I feel Dharti, Mannat and Mel Karade Rabba can be made in Hindi,” he says. Stay tuned to BL for more scoops!
